Canonical bridges (Arbitrum Bridge, Optimism Bridge, StarkGate) are the L2's own deposit/withdrawal contracts. Deposits are usually fast; withdrawals back to L1 are slow (typically 7 days on optimistic rollups) but inherit the rollup's full security model.
