Rollups bundle thousands of transactions into a single L1 proof. Optimistic rollups (Arbitrum, Optimism, Base) assume validity unless challenged within a fraud-proof window. ZK rollups (Starknet, zkSync, Linea, Scroll) prove validity cryptographically. The rollup type drives bridge withdrawal speed and bridge trust assumptions.
